Financial Assistance Program
Giving the gift of recreation…
The Stowe Select Board approved a policy allowing funds to be raised for a Financial Assistance Program beginning in 2011. The program helps income eligible Stowe residents participate in recreation programs and community activities no matter their economic status. Fundraising efforts are led primarily by the Recreation Commission with assistance from Parks & Recreation staff. We’re proud to offer this option to our community and look forward to seeing the program grow! A BIG thanks goes out to those who have donated so far and to the Recreation Commission for getting this project off the ground!
Applying for Financial Assistance
Scholarships are awarded to Stowe residents on a first-come, first-serve basis in accordance with program availability, participant eligibility and available funds. To apply, a Scholarship Application must be submitted for each participant and each program at least two weeks prior to the start of a program. Applications can be emailed or sent to: Stowe Parks & Recreation FAP, PO Box 730, Stowe VT 05672.
Make a Donation
100% of FAP donations go directly to families in Stowe. Your donation helps us provide recreational opportunities, build a sense of community and engage families in healthy, active living. Contributions are tax deductible with reference to our Federal Tax ID #03-6000-701. Donations can be made online or by check payable to the Town of Stowe with reference to FAP. To give online using a credit or debit card, please visit Officialpayments.com and select the “local payments” option. Donations to the Financial Assistance Program can also be added to any program or event enrollments at time of registration.
